Realistic DX-120 Star Patrol

Logo This particular one was picked up at a garage sale by The Old Man, along with a similar Hallicrafters WR-600 for $5 each. I sold the Hallicrafters for not much more; I didn't bother selling this one, figuring it wouldn't fetch any more. It was a slightly better performer than the WR-600. And it's solid-state rather than a tube-job.

I run this thing once in a while but never warmed up to it. I had something very similar to it when I was a teenager; it picked up world-band and I could hear the Voice of America, but got bored very quickly by it. Just about any radio would benefit from a great antenna, but some radios, like this one, need one, and I don't have it.

Current status: runs fine.
